2021 IEEE MTT-S Wireless Power Transfer Conference (WPTC 2021)

June 1 – 4, 2021, San Diego, CA, USA

Wireless power transfer and energy harvesting techniques have been implemented in modern electronics and sensors providing advantages of convenience, mobility and integration, as well as enabling functions such as elimination or reduction of battery, remote operation and non-destructive/non-invasive nature for infrastructures. The 2021 IEEE Wireless Power Transfer Conference (WPTC 2021) features advances and innovations in wireless power transfer and energy harvesting techniques and applications. This special issue is devoted to the works presented at the WPTC 2021. Authors of all accepted papers relevant to topics of electronics and sensors presented at WPTC 2021 are invited to submit an expanded version of the accepted conference paper to this special issue.

The expanded version requires that the new technical content including more in-depth and/or new results beyond the WPTC 2021 conference paper. The authors should take advantage of the discussions generated at the conference, which may lead to possibly new information for the expanded manuscript. The submitted papers will go through the same peer review process as all other regular submissions to the MDPI Sensors and Electronics. The following statement should be included on the first page: “This paper is an extended version of the paper “Title” presented in the 2021 IEEE Wireless Power Transfer Conference, San Diego, CA, USA, June 1-4 2021.

Submission information can be found at the 2021 WPTC website is at https://wptc-ieee.org/ and the manuscript can be submitted at Sensors: https://www.mdpi.com/journal/sensors or Electronics: https://www.mdpi.com/journal/electronics. The due date for the paper submission is  Sept. 1, 2021. The expected publication date of the special issue is Dec. 1, 2021. The journals are open access and in electronic format.
